EBNA is a block club recognized by 48th Ward, Alderman Mary Ann Smith.
The boundaries are from the north side of Foster to the south side of Hollywood and from the east side of Broadway to the west side of Sheridan. Members include renters, owners and businesses.
Block clubs are volunteer driven and essentially provide information to their membership. Block clubs do not prefer any political or social issue, but bring forth the issues to the members, allowing the members to decide to pursue, outside the block club, the issues that interest them.
Votes are conducted when the Alderman asks for block club input such as developments and zoning or when an issue has a direct impact on the members and a motion is made. EBNA follows Roberts Rules of Order.
Membership is $5.00 for persons over the age of 18. Business membership is $25.00 To vote on issues: Paid membership and attendance of 2 meetings within a year's time, and you vote on your 2nd meeting.
